Really enjoyed a meal we had at the Groove Train The food was excellent and well priced. It's down by the river.
Jellyfish has decent food at a price, though. The big restaurants on the river are all overpriced
There is an Irish pub in Queen St Mall that does an OK meal. They are underground.
There are some reasonable places along the strip down Queen Street. The places to eat around Southbank are expensive.
The Story Bridge Hotel is a bit of a local icon... central and reasonable. They have a website too.
The Broncos league club do a great meal, if you can face an around 10 min bus trip.
There is a cheap and cheerful Italian place at Southbank - just a short walk.
Broncos is great just not a Sunday night. Thursday is the big night there.

Kangaroo is a bit chewy but croc is suprisingly tender!
We had Kangaroo at a restaurant in Cavill mall a few years ago. It was great, why wouldn't you eat it?
There is a place called Crocodile Jacks in Coolangatta that serves it all.
I have eaten kangaroo and crocodile Croc is a little different. Nothing really to compare it to. I'd eat it again.
